So we began the huge new guitarist search. My search came up with two possibilities: Mike Robson and Ed Nekoliczak. I had played with Mike before, doing some blues numbers and such, and Ed I knew from my freshman year math class. I had never actually heard him play, but I had heard he was good, and we were basically in need of anyone we could find. So I took Ed to meet Nick one day. We were a bit skeptical at first, mainly because of his love of heavy metal music and overall indifferent attitude most of the time, but basically, he was an excellent guitarist, and this was when we finally gelled. For the first time, we had four members who were motivated, talented, and actually made practices. Plus, Ed had a bass that he let (and still lets) Dirk use, free of charge. We started to put together a full set list, and began to write more songs. From there on out, it was just a matter of refinement and practice.
